Congrats Class of 2010! We love you!

Hellooo,
Here's a recap of the end of our year!
Keep reading for info on:

  • The HBS Professional Career Index
  • Relay for Life
  • Adios Seniors!
  • New HBS Officers

HBS Professional Career Index
Our HBS Secretary, Lauren Bosch has taken up a new project, to compile an index of places we have interned/worked and your career aspirations. I think it'll turn into a really really great resource for HBS members!

What we need from you:
- a headshot (optional)
- your name, graduation date, concentration (if you have one)
- list of places you've worked with dates (interned, worked, unpaid, paid, credit, not for credit, all!)
- One bullet point of career aspirations
- a current (& potentially long term) contact email

If you can please take a few minutes of your time to submit this information via email (nyuhbs@gmail.com) or comment on the blog, whatever is the easiest way for you to submit it! Sincerest thanks in advance from the e-board, and from all future students that benefit from this!

Relay for Life
Thanks to everyone who came and/or donated to Relay For Life! We raised $1,020! (that's $20 over our goal of $1,000). Yay HBS!!! Woohoo!

Intercontinental Times Square Tour!

On April 1st, a handful of HBS-ites met up at the Intercontinental Times Square set to open in July 2010 for a pre-opening tour. John Paulsen, VP of the Tishman Hotel Corporation gave a fantastic presentation which summarized the whole opening process. We also got a site tour of the actual property, still in-progress. (Totally rocking those helmets!)

We also got to take a peek at a model room which was constructed in the offices and got to see some of the unique features of the property, such as the computer desktop which will be in every guest room! Very snazzy!

Overall, a wonderful visit, and I can't wait to see the hotel when it's finished! Major props to Mr. Paulsen for an awesome presentation, and also a special thanks to Katharine Lau and the alumni (2nd picture below) who made this visit possible!
